Plato’s readings are always confusing for me to understand. It takes me many attempts to recognize what the idea or concept the reading is trying to teach. His way of explaining stories is through conversation, this is a great way of displaying what his teaching are about and letting people see a different way of thinking. I personally do not like when the readings are wrote like this but I can see how it can be appealing to other readers of this type of script. It does show how others come up with their own answers instead of just giving the reader what the author wants you to believe. It does help me start to think about different concepts I normally would not have. I would not thought of who should rule society on my own. This has help me to push my limits of intellectual thought. It is great for me to have reading like this one so I can learn different ways of thinking.

Everyone has different views on who should rule society. Especially as the human race is evolving and growing and trying to become a better race. Society will always be changing as long as we are on this Earth. So answering this question is difficult for me to come up with one. Leaders come in all different shapes and sizes. What I mean by that is there are some many different ways to lead a group. No one leads exactly the same way so you will always be making someone upset. I do not think that just the smartest people should rule society, rarely do the smartest people have well enough social skills to make them a great leader. I think a good leader needs many different characteristics, like I said social skills, smarts, good understanding of the individuals in the group and many more traits. Once a person has worked on many of these things they can start being a good leader. I don’t think they need all of them but a good base of these traits gives a person a great start on working to being a great leader.

The questioning that goes on in the story is a great for a person to learn. When I have to work or lead a group of people I always like when they ask me questions on way we are doing something. I think it helps everyone out in the end. The asker of the question gets a better understanding of why something is happening and the person getting asked gets to explain what is going on. Also the person getting asked gets another angle of the problem. I really do believe that there are no stupid questions, just stupid people. I think that this reading will help me personally become a better leader. Just having to think of the different types or leaders and traits will make a difference in my leading ability.
