Project #84083 - 4 question i need help with references

looking for the lowest bidder.....

1. You are a narcotics detective in a large metropolitan police department. The target of your most recent investigation regularly uses a small private airplane to traffic large quantities of cocaine to and from the regional airport in your jurisdiction. You know the name, date of birth and address of your suspect. A reliable confidential informant tells you, among other things, that your suspect might own a vacation home in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Lets pretend that I am your supervisor and I want you to write me a report on what you can find out about your target. I want to know if we should dedicate resources towards this investigation or not since we don't have much to go on yet. After reading chapter four of the text, tell me what resources you might use to gather intelligence on your suspect. Also, tell me why they would be useful to you. You should be able to list several resources based on the information I provided in the previous paragraph.

I know that if you actually were a detective you would have access to Law Enforcement only databases such as NCIC, RISSnet, etc... I'm looking to see what you could find using public source data.

2. Having reviewed the Vinelink website, what do you think of it. Do you think that it violates the privacy rights of those people who have been incarcerated and released? If our system of justice sentences them to prison after a trial and they do their time, then what are your thoughts on a database such as this?  https://vinelink.com/#/map   indiana

3.Discuss a topic from this week's reading that was of particular interest to you.  Why did this topic spark your interest? How does the topic relate to the other topics we have read about? Your post should be at least 1 - 2 short paragraphs in length.  Provide a thoughtful and appropriate response to at least two other students' posts.

4.In this discussion forum, discuss your feelings on the morality of capital punishment in general, and more specifically on our system of justice.  Statistics seem to show that those who are born in impoverished neighborhoods or with parents who have been in prison will be much more likely to commit crimes and end up in prison.  Does this mean that there is an element of determinism in the lives of those who end up in prison?  Does this make our legal system unjust, or unethical?  Relate this back to the film clips from the Freakonomics movie that discussed the relationship between abortion and lower crime rates.  What do these statistics mean for us as a society and for the existence of free will?
