Project #85081 - EN 105: First Year Writing Seminar I: Critical Reading, Writing, and Thinking Across Contexts

You began this course by reflecting on who you are as a writer. In this thread, please look back on your reflective introduction essay, your portfolio, and the comments you have received on your writing from me and your classmates. Look at the rubrics I used this term to grade your writing. Then, in about a paragraph each, answer both of the following questions:

  1. When it comes to writing, what do your various readers value? Do your classmates value something other than what your instructor values? To what extent do you feel your writing assignments reflect these values?
  2. How would adjust the grading rubric for essays in EN105? Which categories would you change? Would you add any categories? Would you eliminate any? Why?
