Once I read the writing the by Sarah Michaels, I learned a lot about how I should be setting up my quotes and excerpts from writing so that way I am not doing too much to where it won’t validate my argument.  Initially we know that we need to state or cite where we get our information with so that way when we are making an argument we have credibility and so that way the person you got your information from gets credit too for the information. As an example if I were to say baseball is Americas past time I would certainly use some quotes and citations of people that are agreeing with me but if I were to just use a bunch of saying “baseball is Americas past time” then I really haven’t got anywhere with the argument rather than just stating peoples opinion’s. But if I were to go into it with more of sports analytical stand point using polls and press of the people it would make my argument much more powerful and also that would give me much more credibility. In the reading the claim is about “postpartum depression” which is the main focus but what could have been different about this in my eyes is that she should of used more in-depth citation’s that would give a bigger idea of it rather than quoting a bunch of little pieces that give good evidence but it doesn’t give us much credibility.
