Choose one text from the following: "she being Brand" and "Story of an Hour."
Construct a five paragraph response essay. Craft an introduction that introduces information about the text (author, date, title, topic). A one-line synopsis of the text. A thesis statement decribing your response(s). Write a second paragraph that is a summary of the text with explanatory transitions that show structure (first, next, then, etc.).
Write two responses paragrphs. These might work in the following ways: the first might show your response upon a first read, and the second might show response after completing analysis. You might have multiple resonses to the same work, and the first paragraph can show one, and the second can show another. You might have a single emphatic response to the work, that you detail using 2 different criteria in two different paragraphs. Each response paragraph should establish specific criteria (what is it about you, your situation, your past, etc. that governs the response. It should also have examples from the text that you use to discuss how the text elicits your response. The conclusion should include some summary as well as a final insight or wisdom.
These essays should be 3 full pages, and in fulfillment of all of the formatting requirements detailed in the Summary
