From the video, the speaker's main them is globalization effects on the global poor. It indicates how the subject of discussion leads to poverty through several means. The impressing thing is that the speaker talks without any fear of being condemned by the poor people. He puts issues directly as they are which can change the lives of many. Some speakers always pretend to be concerned by not telling the truth. The video leads to increased emotions as a result of the truth being told openly.

The speaker's talk made a difference on me in that it changed my perspective of viewing issues. From the truth about globalization and inequality, I came to realize of the happening as they are. It acted as a mind opener that can help in having a great focus. The most significant issue to me is how inequality is achieved that leads to poverty. This is a great concern since poverty has negative effects to the economy of a country. From the talk, I learned more about myself given that poverty eradication starts with oneself before it extends to the larger society. I came to understand the potential that I have in poverty elimination in the society. This acts as a turning point in my life since it has made me have mature thoughts. The surprising thing from the speaker is how interaction may lead to the division of communities. It was not very clear from the explanation.

From the experience, my thinking has greatly changed since I am able to have positive thoughts on how to eradicate poverty. I will take the initiative of passing the information to others so that they can also have a clear picture of the happenings as they are. From the individual effort of educating others, we will form a group for use to win the fight collectively.

Comments made by instructor: WHAT NEEDS TO BE REVISED! I am glad the speaker moved and inspired you. However, it is not clear to me why. Although you say he spoke the truth, you do not say what that truth is.And this submission is unusually full of grammatical errors and hard to follow. I do think that we can all do things to eradicate poverty, though it will also require huge systemic changes. Inequality is a grave concern especially as it is growing in so many countries

The speaker’s main ideas were revolving around the question whether human rights work. He continues to state that human rights save lives; they empower people and communities and save lives. This is proven by the short clip of a woman who takes part as a vigilante in promoting healthcare in her village[1]. The impression created by this discussion is how the knowledge about human rights has spread everywhere and people have come to take responsibility over their rights. This discussion   has made me feel challenged to be more aware of human rights and seek a deeper understanding of the difference they make in people’s lives. The discussion is also touching bearing in mind the fact that most women and girls are denied fundamental rights.

The discussion has made a difference to me in that human rights should be viewed from each angle in order not to focus on one side leaving other important areas. This mainly border on civil and political rights on which emphasis made leaving out other rights such as education and basic healthcare. This discussion has played a part in increasing self-awareness since.

I have realized am more inclined to being a champion for human rights by making people know more about their rights and to speak up when denied the same. The most surprising thing is that two children playing have an idea about human rights and they are questioning whether human rights really work.

This discussion changes my view about human rights in that it is a broad subject that should be viewed from all angles and governments should be held accountable on denial of human rights. It also brings the idea that once people know their rights, they should take responsibility and empower themselves and helping one another in enjoying the rights.

At a personal level, I will increase my knowledge about human rights in order to have a broader view on the subject and be able to teach others about their rights. As a group, we will reach out to people who don’t have access to knowledge about their rights, teach them, and help them access legal services when their rights have been violated.

COMMENTS MADE BY INTSTRUCTOR: NEEDS REVISING!
You have done an adequate job summarizing the main points and nicely reflected on what this means for you. You have made numerous grammatical errors, that detract from the strength of your ideas.
