Question 3.  Find the slope-intecept equation for the following lines.

1  The line passing through the points (1,9) and (-2,3)

2  The line passing through the point (1,2) and perpendicular to the liney = 3x-4.

 


Question 4. Without graphing, determine whether the equation has a graph that is symmetric with respect to the x-axis, the y-axis, the origin, or none of these.

 2y = x2 + 1



Question 5.  Suppose f(x) = 3x + 6 and g(x) = 2x - 1.   Find each of the following:

1  (f+g)(2)

2  (fg)(2)
