Case Study 1.1: Software Tug-of-War

 

Peter Hopkins, who works for a small software manufacturing firm, discusses with his boss Howard Wilson, how the rivalry between the eleven members of his team is affecting the company’s image and its business. They discuss how the productivity of this team is mainly being affected due to this rivalry. Wilson also expresses his concern on the increasing number of customer complaints the company is facing—that of being treated rudely. Hopkins along with Wilson decides to communicate with the members of the teams on both sides before this mess turns into a huge disaster.
