This week, we will be revisiting GSLI.  So Please review ‘A Post Mortem for Juliette Rookie’ in Course Materials.  The situation has advanced slightly.  Drew has decided to do away with traditional departments and consider everyone in the company (programmers, developers, marketing people, and even financial analysts) as free agents serving on project teams as their services are needed and sought by other members of the team.   This is a very different way of operating from what the employees of GSLI are used to.  Everyone in the organization is going to need to develop new skill sets.  Drew has hired you to set up the necessary training and mentorship programs.  Please be sure to use the concepts in Chapter 11 as you participate on this week’s forum.

1.       1.  Suggest a system whereby project teams can set goals collaboratively with management.  How and by whom should these goals be monitored?  Should rewards be associated with goal achievement?

 

2.     2.   How should project teams be built in GSLI?  Should management put people together?  Should they seek input from those who will be working on the team?  Should management take a back seat and let individuals within the firm decide who will work on what team?
