Project #95719 - healthcare management - logic model / analysis and evaluation

Textbook: Program Evaluation and Performance: An Introduction to Practice. Second Edition. McDavid, J. C., Huse, I. & Hawthorn, L. R. (2013). ISBN: 978-1-4129-7831-6. Sage Publications. DO NOT limit yourselves to this textbook and/or the CDC manual as your sources/references. The Web is rich with peer-reviewed and vetted sources. 1. Answer nos. 1, 3, 6, 8 on page 183 of the textbook – see below.
 1. What is the basic difference between the reliability and validity of measures? 3. What is the difference between concurrent validity and predictive validity? 6. What is the difference between the validity of measures and the validity of causes and effects? 8. What are the advantages and disadvantages of using online surveys? 2. Discuss what a Likert Scale is, and its advantages / disadvantages.
 3. Research any government or private programs that help reunite service members who were canine handlers in war zones, with their canines once either party's tour of duty has ended. Create a LOGIC MODEL for the program you chose.

 4. Based on the cdc link http://www.cdcfoundation.org/what/programs/list or the Navy's Health Promotions Program, select a "program" and create a LOGIC MODEL. Label and provide the appropriate information. Please remember the difference between 'outputs' and 'outcomes'...one is generally a number/quantity whereas the other is the result of the action/activity that precedes it. You may also choose to do your logic model on a local domestic abuse prevention program or some other socio-educational program in your county or state. Make it relevant to you. Knowing how to do this would help you create your own logic model for a program or initiative you may want to start in your own workplace.
 5. In this and last week's news, HUD in NYC announced they are going to better enforce cigarette smoking cessation in HUD housing. As this is not a brand-new initiative, research this proposal and create a LOGIC MODEL of this program. Use the CDC manual in pdf as a guide. Use "HUD", "NYC", and "anti-smoking" as key words in your search. Use dot gov sources here as well. If you so choose, do your LOGIC MODEL on NYC HUD's program to help homeless veterans.
 6. In your personal or professional lives, create a LOGIC MODEL on a "program" that you hope to initiate, sustain, develop. Base it on some ambition that you have about making a law, process, program, or activity better, be it in school, church/synagogue/mosque, workplace, or some "bucket list" item that you may have to make humanity or the animal kingdom better.
