Project #9582 - Essay

DEFINITION ESSAY, MLA formatting needs to be correct.

This paper is clearly laid out below and will be as long as it takes to cover the areas indicated below for each paragraph. All paragraphs should have between 5 and 7 sentences. If you can’t fit all of the information I want into one paragraph, add another paragraph to cover it.

You will need to take two short personality tests online in order to write this essay. You will also need to ask someone of your choice to take this test as well. Please write down the 4 letter code for yourself and the other person  once you take both tests. If you get two different 4 letter combinations for yourself or the other person, please look up the description of each personality type and choose the one that is MOST LIKE YOU. Go to http://similarminds.com/personality_tests.html and in the second column of tests on the right side of the page, under the heading “Jung Tests”: take both the Short Test (53 items) and the Word Test (70 words). Once you have your four letter
type, you can begin to research your type and write your essay.

Paragraph 1: historical background and introduction to the Myers-Briggs test IN GENERAL…Remember to use a STRONG OPENER. Do NOT comment on your specific 4 letter type in this paragraph.

Paragraph 2: Thorough introduction to your specific 4 letter TYPE

Paragraph3: Description of possible career choices and WHY these careers are well-suited
to your type.

Paragraph 4: Do you agree with the career choices and are they a confirmation for your chosen career path/or your current job now?

Paragraph 5: Describe your TYPE relationally: how are you in relationships, what are the strengths and weaknesses of your type in the way you relate to people: family, mates, employer, etc.

Paragraph 6: Describe WHY you agree and/or disagree with the overall description of your type. Use specific examples from life: i.e. “the test says I am very neat, but
I can never find my books because my bedroom is such a mess.”

Paragraph 7: Have a significant person in your life take one of the Jung tests and identify the area where the test is true of this person and areas where the test indicates
traits that you do not see in the other person.

Paragraph 8: Concluding paragraph…this is a great place to add an additional fact about the test itself. Remember to end with a STRONG CLOSER.

+ Use proper MLA format (see text for guidelines), you will need at least 3 different sources, do in text citations and a Works Cited page at the end of your paper.
You can also access guidelines through Wiki and Google.

+ Double-space, using size 12 font

+You will be graded on error-free papers that are compelling to read, creatively expressed, that flow easily, transmit information in an exciting manner, use strong openers and closers for all paragraphs, that deliver what was asked for in each paragraph, and that use correct MLA formatting, in-text citations and a Works Cited page.
