Project #96234 - Business law assignment

Hello

Having regard to the scope of a municipality’s  power to expropriate land as considered in the case of Dales v. the City of Surrey and to the right of a person to own land, do you think there should be limits on a municipality’s power to take a person’s land by expropriation?  What should those limits be? Provide examples of situations where  such a limitation should be imposed?  In your answer comment on whether you agree the power of expropriation is necessary?

Keep in mind that when a municipality expropriates land it must pay the owner fair market value and must compensate the owner for any reasonable financial losses.
