# Project #97163 - Compensation 1

I have done this project half way. Now you need to do is fix it and add some extra information I provide to make it a complete proejct.

Link for instruction. There is a file too:https://plus.google.com/117758950086767365593/posts/YSjoxFUX8Xf

this link help you able to answer the question

Look at the file instruction and my old project to be continue..

Extra infor: Your IS Technician was in a grade in phase 2. You need to take the midpoint of that grade and use it to determine the wages for your 5 different IS Technicians. You then need to calculate a pay raise pool. You then need to determine where each position falls relative to the grade minimum, midpoint and maximum. Chances are you have one IST who is paid at a rate less than the grade minimum, on that is paid between the grade minimum and midpoint, one that is paid at the midpoint, one that is paid between the midpoint and grade maximum, and one that is paid at a rate greater than the grade maximum. Once you have done all of that you have to decide on what type of pay raise system you want to develop. The mini-lecture on individual equity covers the different systems. There are straight performance systems, performance and position in grade systems, performance and tenure systems. Once you decide which type you want to use you need to explain why you selected it. That rationale is provided in the mini-lecture as well. Then you need to construct your system. You will likely want to know what the recent inflation rate has been. If you had a lead or lead/lag strategy in phase 2 you have inflation information already. You then need to look at the mini-lecture and determine where you would tie it into your system and then set your pay raise percentages. Once you create your system you need to implement with the IST data you have. You apply your system to the IST employees who are paid at amounts that fall between the grade minimum and the grade maximum. If you have red-circled and green-circled rates (again, covered in the individual mini-lecture) you handle those on a case by case basis. You award your different pay raises applying your system to the ISTs that fall from the grade minimum to the grade maximum, then award money to the red-circled and green-circled rates as described in the mini-lecture, explaining what you did and why. You want to draw out your grade and show where the ISTs fell before and after the pay raises.

This is what you will need to add more:

Remember that you are to use the midpoint for the grade which your IST was in from phase 2, not original wage data used to determine the midpoint.

Also, the grade is set/static.  in phase 2 you established a minimum, midpoint, and maximum for the grade.  These numbers do not change when giving pay raises.  The ISTs positions relative to the minimum, midpoint and maximum will change, but not the grade minimum, midpoint, and maximum.  For more information review the mini-lectures associated with this material.

Â

I believe that you have most of the mechanics down.  I suggest reviewing the module on raises and double checking that you are applying those concepts.

Â

You need to work on the written portion of the project.   You need to state that you are developing a pay raise system.  You need to state the type of system you are developing, indicating why you selected that type of system.  You need to describe how you developed it and then apply it.  You likely have 2 different positions that the system will not address, the red-circled and green-circled rate.  You need to indicate how you are addressing these and why you are doing that.  The mini-lectures cover this.
